The 72-Hour MCP: How Fast a Small Team Can Now Ship Real Integration

“System integration” pulls 3,000 real U.S. searches a month against a surprisingly thin, split SERP — Wikipedia on one side, a tiny niche integrator on the other. Nobody has locked this down. Here is what we actually ship in about 72 hours, and why the category is wide open.

Quick answer

System integration is the work of connecting separate software systems — a CRM, an ad account, a set of books — so they operate as one. Most of that work still gets described, not shipped. At PPC Snobs, we build and deploy a working integration, backed by a real Claude MCP connector, on a roughly 72-hour cycle.

TL;DR
  • Real U.S. demand for “system integration” is 3,000 searches a month, up modestly over the year with an April 2026 peak of 3,223.
  • The real SERP is oddly thin — most of page one is null-DR AI-Overview citations, not ranked pages at all.
  • Only two positions carry a real Domain Rating: a tiny DR-14 integrator and Wikipedia at DR 97 — nobody has actually locked this term down.
  • KD reads a soft 6 and, unusually, the real SERP roughly agrees — this is a genuinely open category, not a hidden fortress.
  • Our edge: we do not write about integration, we ship it — a working MCP connector in production in about 72 hours.

“System integration” is one of those searches where the person typing it has already decided something needs to talk to something else — a CRM to a ledger, an ad account to a call log — and they are trying to work out who actually does that, and how fast.

The emergence

Real demand sits at 3,000 U.S. searches a month, climbing steadily from 2,649 in July 2025 to an April 2026 peak of 3,223, before settling back to 2,790 by July. It is not a viral topic — it is a durable, quietly growing category of businesses that have simply accumulated too many disconnected tools.

The commercial pull

At $4.00 a click, this is a mid-value term with a buyer on the other end, not a browser — someone evaluating who actually builds the connection, not researching what integration means in the abstract.

Who’s competing for attention

This is the rare case where the real SERP is almost as open as the Keyword Difficulty score suggests. Strip out the null-DR AI-Overview citations padding most of page one, and only two positions carry an actual Domain Rating — a tiny DR-14 integration shop, and Wikipedia’s own definitional page at DR 97. Nobody with real commercial authority has claimed this term.

Growth or decline

Structurally flat-to-rising, not seasonal. The swings are small — a few hundred searches either side of 3,000 — which reads less like a fad and more like an unglamorous, permanent category of business need.

How PPC Snobs executes here

Most agencies quote a discovery phase measured in weeks before anyone touches a line of code. We start from a working pattern — Firebase or Cloud Run, a Claude MCP connector, a defined read/write contract — and ship the first real integration in about 72 hours. The QuickBooks connector that reconciles ad spend to revenue in a client’s own ledger came out of exactly this cycle.

“Nobody is actually ranking here with real authority. The opportunity is not in the SERP — it is in being the team that ships instead of scopes.”
